Although the simplest prescription for successful weight loss is fewer calories and increasing physical activity, some people still struggle with shedding the pounds. If this sounds like you, it may be important for you to work with a naturopath to ensure that you are eating foods that support a healthy metabolism and that there isn’t an underlying medical condition preventing you from losing weight at a steady rate. I saw this quiz on the Dr. Oz show and thought that they shared some great tips on how to effectively eat to burn calories.

3. Do you often skip meals?
4. Do you currently eat a very low caloric diet?
5. Have you eliminated carbohydrates?

Your thyroid is the main organ responsible for regulating your metabolism, which can affect your ability to lose weight if not functioning properly.
